CYNTHIANA CHRISTIAN CHURCH MOVES DURING THE SEASON OF PENTECOST!!!!!!!!!

The Day of Pentecost was celebrated at Cynthiana Christian Church on May 23, 2010.  The color was red, symbolizing the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the church in tongues of fire. 

We gathered in the historic sanctuary for the Morning Worship Service of Thankful Praise and celebrated being transformed into God's family by God's Spirit joining with ours.  We focused on the gift of the Holy Spirit, as we will throughout the long summer season of Pentecost.

Through the Holy Spirit of adoption, we will reopen our hearts to all our sisters and brothers in Christ.  We will invite in the Holy Spirit's peace to calm our trembling hearts.  We will invite the Breath of God to overturn our conventional lives. 

Join with us through this summer and pray with us, "COME, HOLY SPIRIT!!!!!!!"

Sunday, July 18, 2010:  

                  *   The Cynthiana Christian Church Relay for Life Team concludes their raffle for UK football and basketball tickets.  The tickets will be available in Bish Hall following the regular worship service.

                   *  The Barnabas Team  will meet following the worship service.  This is a wonderful ministry open to all members of the congregation.  The teams deliver the congregation's care through notes, visits and calls to visitors and members needing encouragement.  Call the church office to join a Barnabas Team (234-5332).  You will be blessed as well as be a blessing.     

          *   All youth groups will meet at Marie Hehr Park from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.  If it is raining, meet at the church.

           *  Youth Group Regular Meeting Times on Sunday are:

                    Jr Chi Rho:  Kindergarten to Grade 3:

                          5:00 - 5:45 PM  Choir and music training

                          5:45 - 6:30 PM  Jr Chi Rho program with Brad

                     Chi Rho:  Grades 4 to 8:

                          5:00 - 5:45 PM  Program with Brad

                          5:45 - 6:30 PM  Choir and music training with Diane Ritchie

                    CYF:  All High School Youth:  At Brad's house tonight (7:00 PM)

Monday, July 19, 2010:  Twoo of our Jr. Chi Rho campers go to Camp WaKonDaHo; Kevin Barnett and Russ Faulconer.

Tuesday, July 20, 2010 (7:00 PM):  The CWF Board will meet at the church.

 Wednesday, July 21, 2010:  

     *  The Women's Bible Study (9:00 AM)

      *  Junior Chi Rho Youth Group (4 :00 - 5:00 PM) will meet at the church.

      *  Handbell Choir Practice (7:00 PM)  Dare to join this ministry by just showing up.  You do not have to read music to make music.  Come and find out how.  This is one sure fun way to witness to your faith and be blessed!!!!!!

     *  Choir Practice (7:00 PM)  starting in August

July 24 and 25, 2010:  Several youth and their parents will be attending Camp 101!  Brad, Stacey, Sarah and Elizabeth Allison; Rebecca and Emily Crowther; Deanna and Morgynne Lunsford; Emily and Emma Spencer; Melissa and Mary Hollis Partin; and Andy and Luke Smith.

        *  Men's Bible Study (8:00 AM)

Sunday, July 25, 2010 (2:00 PM):  Our Sunday at Cedar Ridge Health Campus.  Join the residents for an afternoon of fellowship. You will bless and be blessed.

YOUTH, PLEASE NOTE:  CYF Cedar Point Trip: July 30 and 31 and August 1, 2010 are dates being considered.  Please let Brad know of your interest in the next week so he can begin making arrangements for hotel rooms and admission tickets.

 OUR SUMMER EARLY WORSHIP SERVICE OF THANKFUL PRAISE is at 8:30 AM!!!!!!!!!!!
